HISTORY
Believing in God’s Word and Spirit
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) was founded in 1952 by Rev. Josiah Akindayomi in Nigeria. Since then, RCCG has expanded globally, establishing a presence in numerous countries worldwide. The church’s core values include a commitment to holiness, evangelism, and community service, guided by the teachings of the Bible. RCCG emphasizes the transformative power of the Holy Spirit and encourages its members to lead lives characterized by righteousness and faithfulness to biblical principles.
In 2017, Pastor Timothy Okeowo founded RCCG Agape House in Kansas City, Kansas. Building on his experience from Victory House, Pastor Timothy established Agape House to create a welcoming and spiritually enriching environment for worship, fellowship, and community service. Under his leadership, Agape House has become a vibrant parish committed to spreading the love of God and serving the Kansas City community. Agape House prides itself as being a house of love and possibilities.

RCCG pursues its objectives until every nation in the world is reached for the Lord Jesus Christ. Our global mission and values are:

- To accomplish No. 1 above, holiness will be our lifestyle.
- To plant churches within five minutes driving distance in every city and town of all countries, and within five minutes walking distance in every city and town of developed countries.
At RCCG Agape House, our mission aligns with the global mission of RCCG. We aim to:
- Spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through evangelism and discipleship.
- Foster a loving and supportive church community where members can grow spiritually.
- Provide practical assistance and outreach to meet the needs of our local community.
- Promote holiness and righteous living according to the teachings of the Bible.

BELIEFS
Molding believers, influencing the world
- Trinity: RCCG affirms the belief in one God who exists in three persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit.
- Jesus Christ: RCCG believes in the deity of Jesus Christ, his virgin birth, sinless life, sacrificial death on the cross, resurrection, ascension into heaven, and his eventual return.
- Salvation: RCCG teaches that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not by works, and that through repentance and faith in Jesus, believers are forgiven of their sins and receive eternal life.
- Bible: RCCG holds the Bible as the inspired and authoritative Word of God, essential for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness.
- Holy Spirit: RCCG emphasizes the empowerment and indwelling of the Holy Spirit for Christian living, spiritual gifts, and the guidance and transformation of believers.
- Church: RCCG views the church as the body of Christ, composed of all true believers, and emphasizes the importance of fellowship, worship, discipleship, and evangelism.
- Sacraments: RCCG practices baptism by immersion for believers as an outward sign of inner faith and obedience to Christ’s command, and the Lord’s Supper (Communion) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice.
- Second Coming: RCCG believes in the imminent return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead, and the final judgment.
